Curriculum / First and Second Year
First Year and Second Year pupils follow a
common syllabus. Pupils usually study the following subjects (period
allocation in brackets - although this is subject to change):

Mathematics (4)
Science (3)
French or German (3)
Art (2)
Home Economics (2)
Music (1)
PSE (in full) (1)
Information Technology (1)
Technical (2)
Physical Education (2)
Modern Studies (1)
Religious Education (1)
History (1)
Geography (1)
In
order to reduce the number of teachers pupils meet each week certain
groups of subjects may ‘pair’ together. Pupils will then
have one subject for several weeks and then switch over to the other
subject. e.g. Geography, History and Modern Studies.
