About Graphics
Graphic Communication allows our pupils to develop a foundation which can be used in the highly visual world of today.
The subject has its origin in Technical Drawing, traditionally used by engineers and architects.
Within
the current curriculum, our pupils are taught the fundamentals of
orthographic projection, pictorial views, illustration and presentation
using differing media and all forms of computer-aided 2D and 3D
graphics.
Particular emphasis is given to desktop publishing, design and 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor software.
Graphic
Communication is available at Intermediate 1 & 2, Higher and
Advanced Higher levels, and can lead to further study and careers in
the Graphics Industry and Product Design
We teach Graphics in a
newly acquired, spacious, well stocked room which accommodates 20
pupils with access to a PC each and new state of the art drawing boards.
